In the Media Center, you can explore archived columns, TV and radio shows, podcasts, videos, photos, and articles that are produced by or feature the LPBC.  Below is a quick summary of where you can find and follow us in the media on a regular basis.  In this section, we also archive pictures from some of our various events, articles written about the LPBC, videos that profile our partners, and videos shot on location at various events. 

"Giving Back" Column in The Commercial Appeal

Each Sunday, you can read our "Giving Back" column in The Commercial Appeal in the Local News section. The column launched in 2010 and is authored by LPBC president, Jeremy C. Park. It spotlights organizations and individuals who are making a difference in the Mid-South and also shares tips and perspectives for weaving more purpose into your normal routines, for becoming more engaged, and for creating your own legacy of helping others. The column is also sometimes featured in The Commercial Appeal's Thursday Weeklies, which are freely distributed to households across the Mid-South.  We archive the columns in the Giving Back Column section.

The LPBC Radio Show on News Radio 600 WREC

Our LPBC Radio Show airs each Saturday from 5-6 PM and each Sunday from 9-10 AM on partner station, News Radio 600 WREC. The show is focused on positives and features interviews with a mix of business and community leaders who discuss important trends, projects, and efforts, along with ways to get engaged and make an impact in the Mid-South. Jeremy C. Park has been hosting the show since it kicked off in January 2011. You can listen to the show on AM 600, stream it online at 600wrec.com, or listen via the iHeartRadio app. Past shows are archived in The LPBC Radio Show section. 

If you have a positive story or are a part of an organization doing good in our community and would like to be a guest on the show, please let us know. We typically book about one month ahead and pre-record the show each Tuesday from 10-11 AM, prior to its airing that weekend.   

The SPARK TV Show on WKNO-TV/Channel 10

The SPARK is a monthly 30-minute television series that highlights organizations and individuals who are igniting change and making a difference in the Mid-South. The SPARK airs the third Friday of each month at 7:30 PM on WKNO/Channel 10. It is produced by the LPBC and WKNO-TV. Major funding is provided by Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance, Data Facts, and Memphis Theological Seminary. Additional funding is provided by Christian Brothers University and Power & Tel. The SPARK Awards on WKNO-TV/Channel 10

The SPARK Awards is the Mid-South's annual televised awards show focused on honoring those who are igniting change and making a difference in our community. The hour long special celebrates organizations and individuals in 13 different categories. Nominations are made by the public and our partner, The Rotary Club of Memphis, selects the winners who are profiled during the broadcast.  The SPARK Awards is produced in partnership with the LPBC, The Rotary Club of Memphis, and WKNO-TV. "Giving Back with Purpose" Book

Authored by LPBC president, Jeremy C. Park, Giving Back with Purpose: fueling growth through community involvement was released in December 2013 by Main Street Books.  The book is a celebration of individuals, corporations, and nonprofits that are leading by example and have made giving a priority in the Mid-South.  It is also a fun road map for each of us to create our own legacy of making a difference. All proceeds benefit youth literacy programs in the Mid-South.

"Giving for Growth" Book

Authored by LPBC president, Jeremy C. Park, Giving for Growth was released on November 2015 by Main Street Books.  The book focuses on how you can achieve success in your career and life; and do it in a way that benefits and helps others and your community in the process.  It outlines The Three Truths, Trends in Corporate Philanthropy, and then provides helpful strategies and tactics to create your own legacy of making a difference. Proceeds benefit youth literacy programs in the Mid-South.

GOODworks

Authored by a variety of professional journalists, GOODworks is our long form style coverage of stories focused on success in education, nonprofits, and corporate philanthropy. GOODworks also features short videos highlighting the efforts of nonprofits and community initiatives. These videos are produced by the LPBC team. Check out our GOODworks in the GOODworks section.

ChangeMakers Podcast

Produced by the LPBC team and hosted by LPBC president Jeremy C. Park, the ChangeMakers Podcast shares personal stories and insight from those who are giving back and making a difference, so we can learn and do the same.
